Bowl core

So what do you do with all your bowl cores from turning bowls on the pole lathe. Our dog Milo loves them, they make great balls.


It does not matter if they get lost, plenty more where they came from.

    Mine lie in a pile by the lathe along with bowls I wasnt happy with, all as reminders to make sure I keep improving! When I'm knee deep in them maybe I'll be getting somewhere

    Hey Sean, I turn mine to charcoal for the forge....or for heat in the winter time.

    If at a show I give them away to kids who always love to get something for free. At home I save them up and every now and then I find something to do with them. The last batch became an art installation. http://greenwood-carving.blogspot.com/2008/10/bowlturning-waste-goes-on-show-in-usa.html
